Increase In Gas Prices

I did something pretty stupid.  I looked at how much I spent on gas prices over the past four years and how much its increased per year.  I REALLY wish I lived close enough to ride my bike to work.  Here are the gas price increase over the past four years.

In 2007 I paid $315 more for gas over 2006.
In 2006, I paid $795 more for gas over 2005.
In 2005, I paid $1,482 more for gas over 2004.
In 2004, I paid $1,589 more for gas over 2003
In 2003, I paid $388 more for gas over 2002.

Keep in mind that I worked and lived at the same place, thus the mileage driven to work and back is the same each year.  There were no significant 'driving' events that would cause such an increase.  Pretty sad.
