Wednesday Night Workout

I missed spin class this morning so now I'm an hour behind.  Tonight I did the Big Gear Climb workout.  I have the resistance on my trainer set as high as possible, but still not getting enough resistance.  Never really noticed this problem before, so maybe I've become stronger.  I also had to scale down my workout due to experiencing knee pain.  The workout called for HR Zone 4-5 but when I pushed that hard, the knee pain came back.  It didn't hurt when I dropped the intensity, but they sure hurt now.  Worried about tomorrow mornings workout, plus was going to take half day to go snowboarding.  Sucks.
