The Week of October 1: Training

This week I enter my build RR week. :) Monday, Thursday and Friday, No riding. The rest of the days will look like this:

Tuesday: 30 minute recovery ride. Probable just ride through my neighborhood.

Wednesday: Speed workout: 30 minutes.

Workout: Fixed Gear. Find a gear that allows me to be comfortable for about 30 minutes in HR Zone 2-3. Start on flat course and then add some hills.

Saturday: 30 minute high intensity ride.

Not sure what the workout will be yet. I may do a LT Threshold test on a mountain bike trail (Robinettes). This test is done by doing a 10 minute warm-up, then riding at HIGH intensity for 30 minutes. After 10 minutes you start your HRM so it records the last 20 minutes. Your average HR for that 20 minutes is your approximate LT Threshold.

Sunday is a long recovery ride. I'll probable just call my friends to see if they want to ride for a couple of hours. Their pace is slow so that will help me keep my pace down and just enjoy the ride.
