Saddle Time

I've been getting some pretty good saddle time.  Been having fun with the Garmin Edge.  Tomorrow is the Pando race.  I pre-rode the trail today.  Here is the Edge info on Pando:

Pando

My HRM wasn't really working so that info is not correct.  Having a mental debate on what my race strategy is.  The starting line is at a base off a ski hill, which is a 110 foot climb at 15% grade.  Do I power up it or save energy and use lower cadence.  If I power up it I could blow my wad to fast but if I don't I could find myself behind.  Hmmm.

I did make an adjustment to my bike.  I removed the 'granny' gear.  I don't think I've EVER dropped into the granny gear so it's just dead weight right now.  Small adjustment to FDR and seems to work great.  We shall see.

On Friday I did ride an old favorite trail: Robinettes

Much like Pando, Robinettes is a short course but wow is it fun.  Definitely not for amateurs and it will give you a great workout.

Oh, and for those that watch the Michigan State Football game, MSU's #80, Davis is a dumba$$.  Roughing the passer on 3rd and long.  Go back to rocket football you moron.
