The rain has been non-stop. Not a light rain, hard rain. Temps ranging from 25 degrees to 40 degrees. Add to that 15-25 mph winds and it’s a depressing scene. Today was initially suppose to be sunny and 60 degrees, but it’s 32 degrees and snowing/sleet/rain. The weather people for Michigan are about as reliable as a fortune cookie.
The depressing weather has killed my training. I’m burnt out on training indoors. Normally this time of the year all my riding/running is outdoors. I’m doing everything possible to stay motivated, but it’s hard. I even skipped a race I was already signed up for because I wasn’t confident in my training (Lowell 50). Race day called for 20+ MPH winds, 30 degree temps and light rain. I’m tired of wind, I’m tired of being cold and I’m tired of being wet and cold and then being beaten by freezing wind. According to weather reports, it appears it will be another week of depressing weather.
