New Fort Custer Trail

The SW Chapter of MMBA did an AWESOME job with the trails at Fort Custer.  The new parts are still rough, but after a bit, it's going to be smooth sailing.  Nov. 14 is the date for final trail separation.  No more horses on the trail, which is good because the Green Loop was a mine field today.

Today I stretched the trail as long as I could.  Starting out on Red, I cut over to Blue.  Went around Jackson Hole and Whitford, hooking back up at the Red loop.  Took the Red loop through the Amusement Park, but then cut back to hit the Green loop (after mile 9).  The total miles on the single loop was 15.5 miles.  The second loop I got turned around on the Red Loop when I tried to cut over to blue at a different section.  Ended up just finishing up the Red and heading home.  Definitely going to hit this one up again before the season ends.
