Bike Fitting Blues

Spent $200 getting my road bike fit to a more 'tri' or 'aggressive' position. I felt great on the 'set-up bike' but when it came time to move those measurements to my bike, it proved to be more difficult. Issues with my steer tube prevented my LBS of implementing my new measurements (long story). So now I have a bike that is not properly fit and a triathlon on Saturday. Right now the bike cannot be ridden, so I have almost no training hours. Going to be an interesting tri this Saturday.

Good news about the bike fit was my pedal efficiency. Per the compu-trainer, my left and right pedal stroke only differ by an average of 1-2 watts. The fitter said he's never seen such an evenly distributed pedal stroke. I attribute that to mountain bike racing. If you don't have an efficient pedal stroke, you will spin out on climbs.
