Week of March 10

I figured out the main activity causing my knee pain was basketball + running.  I went up to dunk the basketball and the minute I jumped I felt so much pain in my knee.  Then coming down it hurt more.  I wrote it off as just a bad jump.  I then jumped on the treadmill and started running.  Didn't really hurt while running, but later that day I was in serious pain.  I go see the Doc on the 19th. 

I've since stopped basketball (sad) and running and my knee is feeling really good.  On Saturday I swam for 30 minutes and did 2.5 hours of spin class, which is HIGH intensity, yet my knee was not an issue.  I can still feel slight pain in it, but that might just be the residual from the last basketball incident.  I really think stopping basketball and running for now will improve it.  I'll start PT to strengthen the knee and hopefully I can start running, otherwise that TRI in June will not happen.
