New Member To My Family

I've officially upgraded my bike.  I previously owned a 2004 Specialized Epic comp.  This was a great bike and I really put this bike to the test.  We've had some good times and bad times (scars to prove the bad times).  But I really wanted a new bike.  Partly because the new bike is sweet looking and partly because of the new features.

So I purchased the 2007 Specialized Epic Marathon.  I didn't buy the whole bike; I just bought the frame.  I wanted to customize the bike to my exact needs.  The build included:

Custom built wheels by Larry at Mountain High Cyclery in Colorado.  The rims are DT Swiss 4.1d and the hubs are Hope Pro II.  EXTREMELY light, yet durable.  Most importantly, inexpensive.

The rest of the components are:

Ritchey WCS Stem and Headset
Race Face Next SL riser bars
Magura SL brakes
XT Crank
Drivetrain is XTR
Hope Skewers
SRAM Chain PC-991
XTR Cassette
Salsa Lock on Grips
Kenda Nev. Tires.

25.6 pounds.

Losing any more weight starts to get expensive.  General rule is $1,000 per pound lost.  It is much more cost effective to lose body weight at this point.  :)
